youth and Young adult ministries

  • youth group

Our youth are a vibrant part of our community.   With the mentorship of highly-qualified teachers, they navigate topics that are relevant to what is happening in THEIR life.

This years YG & YG 707 is based on Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and it will be given; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.”  What does this mean?  It means that just ASK, SEEK or KNOCK and this group will be there for each other with the love of God as our guide. This is an ecumenical group...all are welcome.  There are two different times  available so YOUR Youth Group can fit into YOUR life.

    AM YG

Our morning youth group hour focused on deeper discussions & faith-building.  We focus on faith–based studies that apply to the youth’s life.

    YG 707

Our Sunday @ 7:07pm evening youth group hour focuses on fellowship, fun, faith & friendship. Movies. beach walks, live Clue games, disco ping pong, church-wide hide-n-seek, pool parties, game nights. Meaningful time together, building friends with God as the foundation

We also have an annual spring retreat in Lakeside, Ohio, serve the community in various ways (our youth LOVE to serve), send care packages to our college friends, worship once a quarter with our children, help with VBS, have a designated Youth Council, offer senior scholarships, and much, much, more. We'd love to have your youth join us.

BUMALUM

college-age & Young adult ministries

Connection is an important value at Bay United Methodist Church.  When our youth graduate, they may leave our congregation physically, for a time, but they do not leave our hearts.  Keeping them close through care packages, holiday and summer get-together, friendly emails and notes are only some of the ways we keep touch.  We offer scholarship opportunities and mentor connection if they wish to apply.

For our young adults that have graduated and have decided to stay here at Bay, we offer BUMALUM, a connectional group of recent and somewhat recent HS school graduates from our youth group. This is a group of young adults that wish to stay connected to their church. They can stay in this group as long as they wish.

By offering our college-aged youth and young adult specialized ministries, they will continue to keep Jesus close to their hearts and guide them as they navigate the new world ahead of them.
