The United Methodist Committee on Relief brings hope and aid when a catastrophe strikes. But, along with immediately providing food, clothing, shelter, and medical help, UMCOR stays to assist survivors to rebuild lives. Once a year, during ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING United Methodists worldwide make a special offering to support this humanitarian aid from UMCOR. Givers are assured that when catastrophes cause suffering, the United Methodist Church, impelled by Jesus’ love and compassion, will be in the lead to erase the pain.

Gifts to One Great Hour of Sharing underwrite UMCOR’s “cost of doing business.” that allows 100 percent of every dollar designated for one of the specific UMCOR projects to be spent on that project — not on home office administrative costs.
