Sunday Study

BUMC 9th grade class concentrates on the basic habits of a Christian life. The curriculum used is Class 201-401 by Doug Fields. They learn the habits of prayer, reading the word, tithing, fellowship and daily time with God. Students are encouraged to find their own spiritual gifts and determine how they can serve God and live a Christian life of abundance. After those studies are completed, students interested in leadership opportunities are invited to continue to Class 401.

“God has shown you His grace in giving you different gifts".” 1 Peter 4:10

Youth Church is scheduled once a month and meets in Fellowship Hall for breakfast at 9:30 for breakfast. The morning activities begin with a power point game and introductory questions. Next, they view a video exploring common questions and stresses for students in today’s culture. Related scriptures are read and games are played.

Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are doing. Instead, let us encourage each other. Hebrews 10:25

The 10th-12th grade class discusses current topics and studies the Biblical answers to students’ questions. Their class outreach project is the college care packages sent twice a year to our graduates.

“People learn from one another as iron sharpens iron.” Proverbs 27
